Maude V. Mark
Services for Maude V. Mark, 85, were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 1991, at the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel with her nephew, Rev. David Butler officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mark died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1991, at the Niobrara County Nursing Home in Lusk.
She was born Jan. 9, 1906, in Scotts Bluff County, Neb., the daughter of William and Viola Randolph. The family lived between Minitare and Bayard before moving to Yoder, Wyo., in 1908 where she attended grade school. She graduated from Torrington High School in 1923. She then taught country school in the Goshen Hole area south of Torrington until she married George "Eddie" Mark on June 14, 1929, in Lusk. They lived in Goshen Hole until moving to Lusk in 1939. He died March 15, 1967.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister, Helen Butler.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Ted Butler of Sparks, Nev., Hughie Butler of Hot Springs, Mont., John Butler of Casper, George Butler of Clinchport, Va., Roy Butler of Torrington, Glen Butler of Lingle, Jerry Butler of Gainsville, Fla., Harley Mark and Pete Mark of Torrington, Tom Mark of California, Amy Meredith of Caldwell, Idaho and Freeman Mark of Idaho.
For those who wish, memorials to the Niobrara County Nursing Home will be appreciated by the family.
