Mrs. Joiner, 43 Year Resident, Dies Here Fri.
Mrs. Clara (Tot) Joiner, 75, died in the Spencer Hospital early Friday morning of a heart attack. She had been a patient at the hospital for about two weeks.
Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jacob Nein officiating.
Gerald Bardo, Dale M. Bardo, Miss Phyllis Johns and Mrs. Samuel M. Thomas sang "Rock of Ages." Mrs. Gerald Bardo was organist. Pallbearers were: Jerry Koleno, John Wesley Wolfe, Earl Criss, and C. E. Marvin of Lusk, C.P. (Red) Owens and Glen Cates of Cheyenne. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Resident 43 Years
Clara Harlow Moyer, daughter of William A. and Lydia Findley Moyer, was born August 4, 1884 at Fullerton, Nebr. The family moved to Tekamah, Nebr. where she finished high school. She and Lemuel Joiner married October 5, 1905 and they were the parents of one son, Carl. They came to Lusk in September, 1916 intending to stay a month. However, they liked the town so much they disposed of their business and home in Bancroft, Nebr. and have made Lusk their home ever since, with the exception of two years spent in Edgerton.
Mrs. Joiner was a member of the Congregational Church, the Congregational Church Circle, Order of Eastern Star and the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Survivors include her husband, her son Carl; two sisters, Mrs. Margery Barber of Spencer, Iowa and Mrs. Madge McKinnis of Lusk; and a brother, Wally Moyer of San Diego, Calif.
