Janet Thompson Froggatt

Funeral services for Janet Thompson Froggatt, age 78, a former Douglas resident, will be held Thursday, May 24, 1990 at 2 p.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Douglas, Wyo., with Rev. Tom Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas Park Cemetery. She died Saturday, May 19 at the Lake District Hospital in Lake View, Ore., of a sudden illness.

Janet Thompson Froggatt was born Jan. 14, 1912, at Fegurn, Kan., the daughter of Frank H. and Christina G. (Gilchrist) Thompson. She was reared and educated in Wyoming. On May 14, 1932, she and George Froggatt were married at Douglas. Being in the sheep and cattle business, she and George remained in Wyoming for most of their married life. For the past 15 years they had spent winters in Borrego Springs, Calif. She was a member of O.E.S., P.E.O., and the Congregational United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband George of Borrego Springs, Calif.; two children, George Froggatt of Borrego Springs, and Christine Shields, of Wheatland; one brother, James Thompson of Lusk; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Bruegger, Tom Bruegger, Travis Bruegger, Brad Boner, Rob Boner and Jeff Boner. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Froggatt, Kirk Froggatt, Jeff Bartos, Bret Bartos, John Shields and George Shields.

Memorials to the Congregational United Church of Christ or to a charity of the donor's choice would be equally appreciated by the family.

The Converse Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
