Native American Afterschool Program

The Niobrara County Library will host afterschool sessions this fall for children that are in grades 3-6 beginning on Thursday, August 22 and continuing on Thursdays through October 24 The fun begins at 3:35 p.m. and continues until 4:45 p.m. Library programs are free and open to the public. Call 307-334-3490 or stop by the library to register your children and to let us know if you can bring snacks!

Explore the different cultures of Native Americans! Have fun learning about the lifestyles, food, games and stories of widespread indigenous peoples. Children will explore the Inuit people of the Far North as well as the Plains people and Cliff Dwellers of the Southwest. Heading farther south the Mayan and Aztec civilizations of Central America and Mexico will be featured. The program will feature activities, crafts and more!
