A four-film series featuring western films with female leads. ‘Cat Ballou’ stars Jane Fonda along with Lee Marvin who won an Oscar for his dual role. Nat “King” Cole (in his final role) and Stubby Kaye act as narrating troubadours. Cat Ballou is a parody of the Old West, about vengeance turning a rancher’s daughter into an outlaw who teams with a drunken, broken-down gunslinger. This wild and woolly adventure is the ultimate American spoof of the American Western. The film is not rated and is 97 minutes.
A meal, as well as brief audience discussion round out the evening. Library programs are free and open to the public.
