"Volume 1, No. 1 of the Van Tassell Booster is just off the press and shows a lustiness in entire keeping with it' s surrounding. It will bill a long-felt need and the merchants of that thriving little town will thoroughly appreciate the advantages of having a community newspaper.

The new paper starts off well. It is a four-page, seven column, one page being home print. Four columns of this latter are ads. M.D. and T.R. Eastly are listed as the publishers and the Standard extends best wishes to the workers in the Van Tassell field.
