New Gay's Cafe to Open Here Monday

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Austin will formally open their new cafe across the street from the Wyoming Theatre on Monday, March 8. It will be known as Gay's Cafe which was the cafe they formerly operated in Lusk for five years opposite from the Kilmer Creamery.

Mr. Austin purchased the old Lusk Feed Store building and lot just south early last year and began construction of the new cafe on the vacant lot . He has done most of the work himself.

As a preliminary to the opening,  the cafe will serve free coffee and doughnuts through the noon hour Saturday, March 6, at an open house to be held previous to the actual opening for business on Monday.

The former Gay's Cafe was discontinued over two years ago when Joe Kuhn Sons decided to tear the building down to make way for their expansion plans. The Austins then moved to Harrison to operate a cafe for a year and finally last year returned to Lusk.
