Hotels: Herring Hotel

Harry Herring is having a cave dug to put the acetylene gas generator that supplies light for the hotel, thereby making sure that no buildings will blow up by the same. If it does any blowing now it will have rock to deal with.

Harry Herring has sold his interest in the hotel to his father and
will go on the road in a few days to talk "All Right" washing machines.
(NOTE: The Herring Hotel was first known as The Collins House
hotel, then it became the Northwestern Hotel and finally the Henry
Hotel.)

The Lusk Herald, June 21, 1906
Billy Fisher and wife came down from Douglas Monday and remained
until yesterday. While here Billy sold the hotel property to Mrs. Lena
Henry, who will take charge of the same next Sunday. She has also
purchased the furniture and fixtures and it will not be sold at public
auction, as per the advertisement on the front page of this issue. (See
below)

THE HOTEL IS CLOSED,
and all or any of the Hotel Furniture and Fixtures are offered at
private sale cheap. All that is not sold by SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 1906,
will be sold at PUBLIC AUCTION at the Hotel, commencing at 10 o'clock
a.m.
Everything goes. Come and buy at your price.
