Royce Thompson and Keri Bartow have announced the birth of the New Year's Baby, a son born on Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital. He was named Kyle Jordan and weighed eight pounds, four and a half ounces and was 20.5 inches at birth. Maternal grandparents are Claudia and Gene Bartow of Lusk. Maternal great-grandparents are Pete and Mary Germann of Node, Vern and Theresa Modine of Lusk and Mr. and Mrs. Earnie Bartow of Torrington. Maternal great-great-grandmother is Katherine Rokne of Lusk. Paternal grandparents are Marion Thompson of Lander and Mercedes Peery of Lusk. Paternal great-grandparents are Amos Ewing of Sundance and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schmelzer of Grand Junction, Colo. Paternal great-great-grandmother is Mrs. Eva Thompson of Newcastle.
