Have you been intrigued by alternative or complementary medicine? The library will be offering a four week series beginning Wednesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. and will continue each Wednesday evening through June 8, 2016. Nearly 40 percent of adults report using complementary and alternative medicine and several different styles will be discussed during the series.
On Wednesday, May 18 Kristine Groh will present a discussion of FasterEFT and TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) at 6:30 p.m. FasterEFT is a collection of techniques and processes that integrates the most effective elements of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Be Set Free Fast (BSFF), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), spiritual understanding, science and the mind’s great ability to transform itself. One of the greatest aspects in FasterEFT is that it is fast, direct and to the point. TRE is a combination of exercises to help individuals release stress or tension as a result of difficult life circumstances, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences. TRE consists of six simple exercises that help individuals release tension from the muscles, which in turn relaxes the anxiety of our minds by evoking a muscular shaking process in the body. Kristine is a certified practitioner in both FasterEFT and TRE.
On Wednesday, May 25 Billie Tillard will discuss BodyTalk. The BodyTalk technique provides insights to the areas of your body that need attention. What might seem like an obvious problem to you is not necessarily the one your body wants to address first, and this is the beauty of BodyTalk. It respects the body’s own needs and determines your body’s priorities for healing. With the use of a variety of non-invasive techniques, BodyTalk practitioners refocus your body’s natural healing response to establish better communication within the body. Billie has been a BodyTalk practitioner for several years and is also a practicing massage therapist and acupuncturist.
Wednesday, June 1 the session will feature Donna Annis who will discuss healing using Reiki energy. Reiki is a form of therapy that uses a simple hands-on, no-touch visualization technique with the goal of improving the flow of life energy in a person. Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Reiki touch therapy is used in much the same way to achieve similar effects that traditional massage therapy is used – to relieve stress and pain, and to improve the symptoms of various health conditions. Donna is from Casper and has been practicing Reiki for over 20 years. She is also an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner.
“Meditation with Buddha Maitreya Etheric Weavers and Music” is a meditation process that will be presented by Nola Blackburn on Wednesday, June 8. The meditation lasts approximately forty minutes as it awakens the soul and heals the etheric field. Scientifically, the tools stimulate the natural electromagnetic pulse that is found throughout the physical body’s meridians and in the Earth’s natural electromagnetic pulse, helping to strengthen the natural electromagnetic rhythm so the natural psionic energy, known as Chi in Chinese Medicine, is strengthened. It is the Chi that Buddha Maitreya regulates and sends forth as his healing energy field. The Chi is transmitted to everyone who sees or touches the meditation tools or hears the soul therapy music. The contact stimulates everyone’s consciousness of positive thinking and spontaneous meditation without effort or focus, fostering one’s innate ability to self heal, radiate love, and receive the love of others. This becomes a Universal Awakening and healing that is life changing.
Each of the sessions will include the opportunity for questions and in some cases the opportunity to experience the technique. Plan now to attend this informational series. Library programs are free and open to the public.
