The Fall After School programs are underway at the library, serving children in kindergarten on Mondays beginning September 10. 1st and 2nd graders began September 4, and are meeting on Tuesdays, and grades 3-5 started September 6th, and are meeting on Thursdays.
The kindergarten children are enjoying a program that is similar to the Storyhour program that is held on Tuesday mornings.
“Magic Tree House Adventures” is the theme for grades 1-2, with stories based on books by Mary Pope Osborne. These books feature weekly trips to far-off places like the Amazon with imagination partners such as pirates, ninja’s, and a sabertooth.
The theme for grades 3-5 is “Leonardo da Vinci.” This program features the Mary Pope Osborne book “Monday With A Mad Genius”, and will investigate the interesting life of da Vinci as an inventor, artist and musician.
The After School Programs, which include reading, snacks and crafts, will continue through the last full week of October, and all run from 3:20 until 4:30.
