Upcoming fall programs will include something new for area adults. An Evening of Cinema will feature newly released Independent Films. Currently we are planning on hosting this evening once a month for a nominal charge, watch for more details.
1,871 items were added to the library collection during fiscal year 2003-2004, of this number 1302 or 70% of those items were donated or purchased with grant funding. During this time period 177 programs were held at the library for children and adults – with a total participation of 2,735, averaging 52.53 people participating on a weekly basis. The library also averaged 56.067 men, women and children visiting the library and circulated an average of 92.433 items per day.

Our junior reader’s will enjoy “Leon and the Spitting Image” by Allen Kurzweil, “Among the Barons” by Margaret Peterson Haddix, “Surviving Hitler” by Andrea Warren and “Talon and the Dragons of Crinnelia” by Diana Metz.
For our younger readers, there is “1, 2, 3 Follow Me” by Phillipe Dupasquier, “Jackalope” by Janet Stevens, “A Story for Bear” by Dennis Haseley and “The Magic Hat” by Mem Fox.
“Cow?” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
