Library News

Patrons can view their library account online by going to the WyldCat . from the library’s website. The web address is https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org. You can view what is checked out, when it’s due, you can place holds and see if any fines have been incurred. Users can also set it up to be notified when your favorites are available as well as track your favorite books and authors. Access to all of the library catalogs in Wyoming’s county libraries, community college libraries and the University of Wyoming catalog are available as well as some school libraries through WyldCat. If you have any problems accessing these resources don’t hesitate to call the library at 334-3490. Patrons will need their library card as well as their PIN when accessing this tool.

New books in the adult library include the Today Show’s Book Club selection “Bury the Lead” by David Rosenfelt as well as “Robert Ludlum’s Jason Bourne in the Bourne Legacy” by Eric Von Lustbader, “Monday Mourning” by Kathy Reichs, “Sam’s Letters to Jennifer” by James Patterson, “Ten Big Ones” by Janet Evanovich, “Calder Promise” by Janet Dailey, “Trophy Hunt” by C. J. Box, “Traplines” by John Rember, and “Painting all Aspects of Water” by E. John Robinson.

For the young adult there is “Perfect Princess” by Meg Cabot and “The Insiders” by J. Minter.

Our junior readers will enjoy “Katie and the Mustang”, a 4 book series by Kathleen Duey, “Partner’s in the Wilderness: Travis’ Choice” by Ed Kienzle, and “The Capture” by Kathryn Lasky.

For the younger readers, there is “How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?” by Jane Yolen, “Take me Out of the Bathtub and Other Silly Dilly Songs” by Alan Katz, and “Wallace’s List” by Barbara Bottner.

“Going to the Dogs” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for children age three through kindergarten.
