Registration begins for the Afterschool Program, “Silly Tales” on January 25 and continues through January 31. “Silly Tales” is a spin on classic fairy tales and Children’s Librarian, Yvonne Jensen has many fun things planned based on such titles as “Ghosty Shocks and the Three Scares” or “Eco-Wolf and the Three Pigs.”
The program will be held on Tuesday’s, beginning February 6 for children in the first and second grades and continues through March 27. Children in the third, fourth and fifth grades will gather on Thursday’s, beginning February 1 and continue until March 29. Everything starts right after school and goes until 4:30.
Plan now to have your children join us for reading, snacks, crafts, activities, games and fun; to register stop by the library or call, 334-3490.
The first of six film discussion programs will be held on Wednesday, January 31 beginning at 6 p.m. “Snapshots of Society” will begin with a free meal provided by the Friends of the Library and will feature the film, “Immediate Family.” Discussion will be linked with the Wyoming Women’s Center, plan now to join us. IRS forms are available at the library. Forms are arriving on a regular basis and are available at no charge, except for forms that require copying. The Internal Revenue Service website also has forms to download, http://www.irs.gov, as well as other information.
Thank you to everyone who is bringing in their Decker Receipts. Funds that are raised through this program go towards purchasing children’s and young adult books. Receipts are collected through the end of May, 2007. Thank you also to Kenny Decker and Decker’s Food Center for sponsoring this program.

“Penguins!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, January 23. Storyhour is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
