Spring projects are highlighted with a special section of books at the library. Stop in and check out new landscaping and gardening ideas as well as home improvement ideas for everything from the inside out. Some titles include: “Garden Furniture & Outdoor Projects,” Inside Out : Decorating Outdoor Spaces with Indoor Style,” Perennial Garden Design” and “Designing with Succulents.” These are just a few of the titles available!
New fiction includes the third installment in the Saxon stories series by Bernard Cornwell, “Lords of the North.” Jesse Kellerman’s second novel “Trouble” is also available. Other new fiction includes “The Successor” by Stephen Frey, “Step on a Crack” by James Patterson, “A Fine Night for Dying” by Jack Higgins and “The Wilde Women” by Paula Wall.
In the nonfiction section, recent arrivals are “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins, “Together on Top of the World: the Remarkable Story of the First Couple to Climb the Fabled Seven Summits: a Saga of Love and Courage” by Phil Ershler and “52 Weekend Makeovers: Easy Projects to Transform Your Home Inside and Out.”
New books in the Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library include these junior titles “Junie B. Jones, First Grader: Toothless Wonder” and “Junie B. Jones, First Grader: One Man Band” by Barbara Park. New easy books are “Fur, Feathers, and Fun” by Mark Ziegler and “The 3 Little Pigs” by Marie Louise Gay.
“Mothers” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 and Thursday, May 10. Storyhour is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. and repeated each Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
