“The Bucket List” will be shown on Wednesday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Cranky hospital designer Edward Cole finds himself terminally ill and in a hospital bed next to mechanic Carter Chambers with the same fate. The unlikely pair decides to check off the items on their wish list known as The Bucket List before each kicks the bucket. They head across the world to jump out of planes, race cars, eat at the best restaurants and eventually become true friends. The film stars Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman and Sean P. Hayes, it is rated PG-13 and is 97 minutes. We’ll provide the popcorn!
Showing on Thursday, June 19 at 1 p.m. is “Snow Buddies.” This Disney film is rated G and is 87 minutes.
A new fiction book for adults is “Friday Nights” by Joanna Trollope. From her window, Eleanor sees two young women with small children – separate, struggling, and plainly lonely. She invites them in. Gradually the group grows to six women, all who need and value the traditional of Friday nights spent together. This very readable and memorable book is available for reserve if it’s not on the shelf.
