The library will be closed on Sunday, January 17 and Monday, January 18, 2010 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr’s birthday and Wyoming Equality Day. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, January 19.

Tickets are still available for the Niobrara County Library Foundation’s Annual Wine Tasting to be held on Sunday, January 17 from 2-5 p.m. at the Niobrara Country Club. A variety of art mediums will be on display and for purchase as well as a silent auction item. Plan to attend.
A new suspense book is “Cold River” by Carla Neggers. When Hannah Shay’s caf� becomes an epicenter for investigators trying to pierce a violent crime ring on nearby Cameron Mountain, she suspects a man from her past is involved. Sean Cameron, who has returned to his hometown to unmask his father’s killer, must convince a resistant Hannah to cooperate before the killer strikes again.

New books for the young adult are “Crocodile Tears” by Anthony Horowitz and “I’ll Always Love You” by Cecily Von Ziegessar.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new titles: “Water Keep” by J. Scott Savage, “Third-Time Lucky” by Jenny Oldfield and “Two-Minute Drill” by Mike Lupica as well as these picture books: “How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?” by Jane Yolen, “I Really Absolutely Must Have Glasses” by Lauren Child and “Norton’s First Show” by Bernadette Kelly.
“Snow Fun!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, January 19 and Thursday, January 21. This weekly program is held from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
