Check out the Alt Healthwatch database in the WyLDCat resources. This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. Your library card and pin will give you access to research articles from a variety of sources. A quick search using “diabetes” as a subject term resulted in over 1200 full-text articles that you can read immediately. A new historical novel is “The Forest Laird” by Jack Whyte. In London’s Smithfield prison the outlaw William Wallace – hero of all Scots and deadly enemy of King Edward of England – sits awaiting his scheduled execution. The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books: “Farmer Boy Goes West” by Heather Williams and “The Case of the Deadly Desperados” by Caroline Lawrence. Some new picture books include “Grandpa Green” by Lane Smith and “A Ball For Daisy” by Chris Raschka.
