NEW HOURS! The library board has reinstated winter (Labor Day – Memorial Day) Sunday hours from Noon to 4 p.m. effective now through May 24, 2013. Wednesday hours have been adjusted to Noon to 7 p.m. The library will be open the Sunday after Thanksgiving, however the building will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 22 and 23. Monday, November 26 the film, “The Great Gatsby” will be shown at 6 p.m. This is the fourth of four films in the Play to Film dinner and movie series.
The Friends of the Library are planning a Christmas Cookie and Candy sale to be held Wednesday, December 5 from 3-6 p.m. at the library. Christmas goodies will be for sale by the pound and you can pick your own cookie combinations! Plan to attend! Holiday books, movies and music are also now on display, stop in and take a look.
A new suspense book is “Low Pressure” by Sandra Brown. Bellamy Laston was 12 years old when her older sister, Susan, was killed. Now 18 years later, Bellamy has written a bestselling novel based on the case, but she published it under a pseudonym to protect her family. The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new titles: “Junie B.
