The Friends of the Library will be hosting their annual Homemade Christmas Cookie and Candy Sale on Wednesday, December 6 beginning at 3 p.m. at the library. Homemade Soup and Bread will also be for sale. Be sure to stop by!

During the month of December Jaden Stauffer’s Bar S Bar Photography will be on display. A reception with the artist will be held on Wednesday, December 13 at 5 p.m.

Wyoming author, Bill Sniffin will be at the library on Wednesday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m. to sign copies of his books and to talk about some of Wyoming’s history.

“Keep her Safe” is a new novel by Sophie Hannah. Cara Burrows lets herself into her hotel room and is shocked to find it occupied by a man and a teenage girl. A simple mistake at the front desk….but soon Cara realizes that the girl she saw alive and well is someone that she can’t possibly have seen…the most famous murder victim in the country – Melody Chapa, whose parents are serving natural life sentences for her murder. Other new fiction books are “Galloway’s Gamble” by Howard Weinstein, “Little Fires Everywhere” by Celeste Ng, “The Last Outlaw” by Rosanne Bittner, “The Cuban Affair” by Nelson DeMille, “Montana Noir” edited by James Grady, “To Be Where You Are” by Jan Karon, “Trace” by Archer Mayor, “Wicked Deeds” by Heather Graham and “Sleep Like a Baby” by Charlaine Harris. Sarah J. Maas’s “Tower of Dawn” is among new young adult books along with “The Reader” by Traci Chee. Both titles are available in Overdrive.

“The Metabolism Miracle, revised edition” by Diane Kress and “Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal” by Anthony Williams are among new non-fiction titles.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has this new junior book “Wishtree” by Katherine Applegate. Several of the newer easy titles are “You Must Be This Tall” by Steven Weinberg, “Uni the Unicorn” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, “Chicken in School” by Adam Lehrhaupt and “Buster, the Very Shy Dog” by Lisze Bechtold.

“Winter Celebration” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday December 5, 2017. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for preschool aged children. Call 334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story, Dial-A-Story is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
