The movie, “Ferdinand” will be shown at the library on Friday, March 16 at 1:35 p.m.. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover. The movie is rated PG and is 108 minutes. The library provides the popcorn, please bring your own drink.
Monday, March 26 “Little Miss Sunshine” will be shown as part of the “Happy Endings : Overcoming Crisis” dinner and movie series at 6 p.m. “Little Miss Sunshine” is the story of a family determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant – and take a cross-country trip in their VW bus to get there…. A light meal will be available and Deane Tucker, PhD Chadron State College will facilitate the discussion. Library programs are free and open to the public.
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 28! Author, Preethi Fernando will present the workshop, “Resume Writing, Cover Letter Writing, and Connecting with Social Media in the Job Hunt: Essential Principles You Need to Know About Landing a Job in 2018” at the library at 5 p.m. Fernando’s workshop is useful, informative and practical; by the end of the session participants will have an understanding of how to use free resume writing templates and will learn what to eliminate from the resume and what to do after submitting a resume. Preethi will also share information about the online job application submission process as well as the best websites to use and why LinkedIn and social media are important. Participants will also learn how they can build a website for minimal cost. By the end of the two hour session you will have a clear direction of what you should do and avoid in your job hunt.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “Supergirl : Age of Atlantis” by Jo Whittemore, “We Are Party People” by Leslie Margolis and “Digging For Trouble” by Linda Fairstein.
