During the month of November artist, Jason Avilez’s work will be featured at the library. Avilez is accomplished in many mediums: wood and stone carving, pencil, oil and acrylic to name a few and is his work is a tribute to his passion for art. Stop by and meet Jason during a reception with the artist on Wednesday, November 7 at 5 p.m.
The exhibit, “Two Nations One Reservation,” is now on display. The exhibit, created in response to the 2017 “Indian Education for All” Act by the Wyoming Humanities Council and other partner organizations will be on display throughout November.
“IQ” is the title of a new novel by Joe Ide. In East Long Beach the LAPD can’t keep up with the high crime rate. Murders go unsolved, lost children unrecovered. Someone from the neighborhood has taken it upon himself to solve the cases the police can’t or won’t touch. He’s called IQ. He charges whatever folks can afford – but to get by, he’s forced to take on some questionable clients that can pay.

“On Call in the Arctic” by Thomas J. Sims joins “In Pieces: a Memoir” by Sally Field and “The Younger Next Year Back Book: the Whole-Body Plan to Conquer Back Pain Forever” by Chris Crowley in the new non-fiction section.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles, “Why Can’t I Be You?” by Melissa Walker, “Girl’s Can’t Hit” by T.S. Easton and “Digging Deep” by Jake Maddox. Some of the newer easy books are “Pete the Kitty and the Groovy Play Date” by Kimberly Dean, “Brianna Bright, Ballerina Knight” by Pam Calvert and “Jack B. Ninja” by Tim McCanna.
