If you are out and about in the evening, you’ll notice that the trees around the library are lit this holiday season. Thank you, Windy City Construction, Joe and Teri McDaniel and Brandon Krein, for making this possible. We also extend our thanks to the Niobrara County Library Foundation for providing the funds for the outdoor decorations and lights as well as hanging them and Marilyn Allbright for loaning her trees on display by the entrance door.

“The Dog Who Saved Christmas” is on tap for Friday, December 13 at 1:15 p.m. The Bannister family’s new addition, Zeus the yellow Labrador, appears to be less than the dependable guard dog the family needs. However, when two burglars set out to break into the Bannister’s home while they’re away for Christmas, Zeus seizes the chance to be a hero, proving every dog – even this one – has his day. The library provides the popcorn; please bring your own drink. The film is 89 minutes.

The library now has Wi-Fi mobile hotspots for circulation. The devices checkout for 7 days and renewals may be made if there are no holds. A Niobrara County Library card in good standing is required for checking out the devices, for more information call, 307-334-3490 or stop by the library.
