“The Boxcar Librarian” is Brianna Labuskes’ latest novel and is based on facts. Alice Monroe created the Boxcar Library to deliver books to isolated mining towns in Montana and hired Colette Durand – a miner’s daughter with a shotgun and many secrets behind her eyes. Now a decade later, no one in Missoula knows why both Alice and Colette went out on the inaugural journey of the library but only Alice returned. “The Boxcar Librarian” is available on CD and digitally in Libby.

Other new fiction books include “Ghost Coach” by Robert Vaughan, “Hidden Treasurers” by Sherry A. Burton, “The World’s Fair Quilt” by Jennifer Chiaverini, “High Country” by B.N. Rundell, “Blood Moon” by Sandra Brown, “Murder of a Recluse” by Jeanne M. Dams and “Witness 8” by Steve Cavanagh. “Watch Me” by Tahereh Mafi is the first book in a new young adult series set ten years after her six-book “Shatter Me” series.
