The Friends of the Library will sponsor RIF (Reading is FUN) on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30 p.m. The skit, “The Midnight Ride of Who?” will be presented with participants from the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Children will all enjoy a snack and have the opportunity to make a craft. Each child will be able to select a book for their own to keep as well. Plan now for this fun hour-long event for all ages!

“The Lost City of Z” is scheduled for discussion on Monday, October 7 at 6 p.m. Also, stop by and pick up the “Read & Feed” book, “Glass Castles” by Jeannette Walls for discussion on Monday, October 14 at noon.

Book Art is the featured craft on Monday, October 21 from 1-3 p.m. at the library. Attendees can learn the techniques of folded book art with this project. Call 307-334-3490 to secure your place!

Horton, “Marry in Scarlet” by Anne Gracie and “If Love Had a Price” by Ana Huang. New young adult books include “A Fire in the Flesh” by Jennifer L. Armentrout and “Making Bombs for Hitler” by Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch.

“Emigrant Tales of the Platte River Raids” by Janelle Molony is among new non-fiction along with “Loving Me After We: the Essential Guide to Healing, Growing, and Thriving After a Toxic Relationship” by Ginger Dean and “Practicing the Way: Be With Jesus, Become Like Him, Do As He Did” by John Mark Comer.

The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books “Something Like Home” by Andrea Beatriz Arango and “Neil Armstrong and Nat Love, Space Cowboys” by Steve Sheinkin. New easy books include “Scooper and Dumper: the Pumpkin Parade” by Lindsay Ward, “Sheepwrecked” by Ashley Belote, “How to Catch a Fairy Godmother” by Alice Walstead, “The Lots-Of-Time Machine” by Paulette Bogan and “The Adventures of Bella and Choco: Being You-Neek” by Aaron Fowler.

“Jack-O-Lantern!” is the theme for Storyhour on October 8, 2024. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday throughout the year for preschool-aged children. Call 307-334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story! Dial-A-Story is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
