Out on the edges of our frantic twenty-first-century nation, bands of wild horses stand nestled together, calmly nuzzling each other to maintain the bonds of family. Prairie hills unfurl around them, and the sky provides their shelter. Through the lens of the wild mustang, professor and poet Chad Hanson gives us new ways to see and meaningfully engage our world as we entertain new considerations about how we understand animals and our landscapes, our history, and ourselves. Hanson, author of “In A Land of Awe” will share his research at the library on Wednesday, April 17 at 6 p.m. Chad Hanson teaches at Casper College.
LegoTime is held each Tuesday from 3:35 to 4:45 p.m. for all ages! Children can create a variety of projects!
Jennifer Ryan has used true events for her latest novel, “The Underground Library.” When the Blitz imperils the heart of a London neighborhood three young women use their fighting spirit to save the community’s beloved library. They relocate the stacks to the local Underground where the neighborhood’s residents shelter nightly.
