Call the library at 307-334-3490 to join “Paint @ the Library: Seascape” to be held on Monday, April 9 from 1-3 p.m.      

This past January Pat Bruch joined a group of Californians to travel to South America. The group spent three weeks in Argentia and Chile hiking and sightseeing. Pat will present “Around the World: South America” on Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. Plan to attend!

Lucas Keeler returns to the library with his newest book “Hank Mason and the Bear” on Wednesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. Keeler will present a historical talk and have copies of his book available for purchase. Mark your calendar!

Scott Turow has written a sequel to his 1987 book “Presumed Innocent” entitled “Presumed Guilty.” Retired judge and lawyer Rusty Sabich is asked to defend his future stepson against a murder indictment. For Rusty, the question is not whether Aaron is innocent but whether the system to which he has devoted his life can provide true justice for those who are presumed guilty. This Kindle County series is available digitally.

Other new fiction books include “Blood in Sweet River” by John Shirley, “Far From Home” by Danielle Steel, “Battle Mountain” by C. J. Box, “Soulless” by C.K. Hart, “Midnight Black” by Mark Greaney, “The Love We Found” by Jill Santopolo and “The Outlaws Hennessey” by Bob Herzberg.

New nonfiction books include “Trauma Bonded: A True Story of Navigating Attachments Forged in Complex PTSD” by Sarah Westbrook and “Making Practical Backyard Projects in Wood: Beautiful Things to Make in a Weekend, Including Ready-to-Use Plans & Patterns” published by Fox Chapel Publishing.

The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior book titles “All the Best Dogs” by Emily Jenkins, “Will’s Race For Home” by Jewell Parker Rhodes and the graphic series “I Survived” by Lauren Tarshis. For our younger readers check out “Two Birds and a Moose” by James Preller, “Gnome and Rat: First Snow” by Lauren Stohler, “The Class With Wings” by Paul Fleischman and “The Most Boring Book Ever” by Brandon Sanderson.

“Happy Easter!” is the theme for Storyhour on April 15, 2025. An Easter Egg hunt is planned along with stories, activities and fun! Storyhour is held on Tuesdays year-round from 10 to 11 a.m. for preschool-aged children. The Friends of the Library sponsor Dial-A-Story, call 307-334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story!
