Last summer Leslie Stewart took two trips to Europe that she will share on Wednesday, February 19 at 6 p.m. Both trips focused on rivers and the first was to northern Portugal starting in Porto and then kayaking on the Duoro River. The second was to five countries in eastern Europe traveling up the Danube from Bucharest and almost to Budapest on a large river boat. The trip then ended with a few days in Prague in the Czech Republic. Come to the slide show to learn about the wine-making part of Portugal, kayaking 7 to 11 miles a day, the history of the former Yugoslavia, more recent upheavals, and the beautiful cities of Porto, Bucharest, Belgrade, and Prague.
