The Dinner & Movie series, “Hotels Around the World” begins on Monday, January 27 at 6 p.m. with Neil Simon’s “Plaza Suite.” The 1971 film, based on the play of the same name, stars Walter Matthau in three comedic vignettes set in Suite 719 of New York City’s Plaza Hotel and is sure to be entertaining. A light meal will be available; library programs are free and open to the public.
The second of four “Kids Paint @ the Library” will be held on Thursday, January 30 from 4-5:30 p.m. Call the library to register your children, aged 10 and up at 307-334-3490.
The winter book discussion series features four humorous books set in various countries. Stop by to pick up the first book, “A Year in Provence” which is slated for discussion on Monday, February 3 at 6 p.m. Other books in the series are “In a Sunburned Country,” “All Over the Place” and “Whatever You Do, Don’t Run.”
Iris Johanson’s latest novel is “On the Hunt.” Kira Drake and her highly trained Golden Retriever, Mack, are in demand by law enforcement agencies all over the world. She has come to Paris to investigate the horrific bombing of a museum. Jack Harlan believes the bombing to be the work of the man who murdered his brother four years ago. Against her better judgment Kira finds herself on the hunt with Harlan for what she hopes is justice – when what he may be seeking is vengeance. “On the Hunt” is also available in Libby.

New nonfiction books are “Postmortem: What Survives the John Wayne Gacy Murders” by Courtney Lund O’Neil and “Fodor’s Montana and Wyoming” by Andy Austin.
The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter book titles “Dog Man: Big Jim Begins” by Dav Pilkey, “Haunting of the Ghost Dragon” by Tracey West and the “Milligan Creek” series by Kevin Miller. Among the new easy books are “Llama Llama Meets the Babysitter” by Anna Dewdney, “Pete the Cat and the Wright Brothers” by Kimberly Dean, “20 Unicorns at Bedtime” by Mark Sperring, “Lone Wolf Gets a Pet” by Kiah Thomas and “Horse and Buggy on Wheels” by Ethan Long.
