“The President’s Lawyer” is a debut title by the late Lawrence Robbins. Rob Jacobson is faced with the case of a lifetime: the former president of the United States, his childhood best friend, has been accused of murdering his mistress. Rob coaxes his mentor, Janet Cashman, out of retirement to help him with the case. They are soon overwhelmed as they try to devise a strategy to defend a man with a taste for infidelity, serious anger issues and unconventional sexual appetites. Soon doubts begin to overtake Rob. Could his oldest friend be capable of murder or is something even darker at play?
