The library will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2017 in honor of Veteran’s Day. Regular hours resume on Monday, the 13th, at 10 a.m.
The Gypsy Cowbelle, “Miss V” will be performing at the library on Thursday, November 16 at 6 p.m. The musical program, “Trails West” focuses on the unique and exciting era which followed the conclusion of the Civil War. From tie hacks and cowhands to pioneers and outlaws, the colorful characters that helped shape American history come to life through stories and songs. On Friday, November 17 at 1:45 p.m. “Miss V” will present a Homemade Musical Instrument workshop for all ages. These programs are sponsored in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council and the Niobrara County Library Foundation. Plan now to attend!

Wyoming author, Steven L. Rubcic’s “One Small Cemetery: Kellie’s Story” is now available to check out as well as “Gathering from the Grasslands: a Plains Journal” by Linda M. Hasselstrom.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books, “Here Comes Teacher Cat” by Deborah Underwood and a new series “Little Rhino” by Ryan Howard with titles like “Dugout Hero” and “Trophy Night.” Some of the newer easy titles include “I Will Not Eat You” by Adam Lehrhaupt, “A Perfectly Messed Up Story” by Patrick McDonnell and “The Mermaid” by Jan Brett.
“Thankful/Sharing!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday November 14, 2017. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for children age 3 through kindergarten. Call 334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story. Dial-A-Story is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
