The Niobrara County Library is undergoing some renovation! For many years we’ve looked at various ways to restore the original windows in the Carnegie portion of the library. This past spring the County Commissioners contracted with historical architect, Kurt Dubbe and as of last Monday the work has begun. The restoration will take several months and custom storm windows will help with the energy efficiency of the building. The steam boiler in the Carnegie portion of the building is also being replaced and there will also be some lighting improvements. Funding for this project comes from a grant through the Wyoming State Energy Office, Local Government Energy Improvement Retrofit Grant and the WAM-WCCA Energy Lease Program.
Thursday, August 14 at the library “Muppets Most Wanted” will be showing at 1:30 p.m. While on a grand world tour, the Muppets find themselves wrapped into a European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike and his dastardly sidekick. The library provides the popcorn, please bring your own drink. The film is rated PG and is 107 minutes.
