Third grader Judy Moody is planning the most super-duper summer ever with best friends Rocky and Amy in “Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer.” The movie will be shown on Thursday, July 3 at 1:30 p.m. The library provides the popcorn; please bring your own drinks.
The library will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2014 for Independence Day. Regular hours resume at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 7.
“Resistant” is Michael Palmer’s newest book. Dr, Lou Welcome’s best friend, Cap Duncan, injures his leg while running. Surgeons manage to save the leg but the open wound is the perfect breeding ground for a deadly microbial invader committed to eating Cap alive from the inside out. The germ is resistant to any known antibiotic. Turning to the Center of Disease Control for help, Lou discovers a link to a group known as the “One Hundred Neighbors” who will stop at nothing to further its agenda – even deadly germs.
