Plan to attend the free Dinner & Movie featuring the classic film, “Inherit the Wind” on Monday, October 29. The film begins at 6 p.m. and Deane Tucker, PhD from Chadron State College will be on hand for discussion which will also include participants at WWC.

The Virtual Library continues to grow, with now close to 1700 titles. This joint effort between our library, the Natrona County Public Library and the Platte County Public Library offers free electronic ebooks for most eReaders and tablets as well as apps for most iOS and Android devices. The 3M Cloud eLibrary and Freading Library are also available to Wyoming residents and it won’t be long and you’ll be able to checkout electronic magazines as well. Your library card number and PIN gives you access to all of these great services.
Have you taken a look at the library’s large print collection? Books are added regularly and one of the newest titles includes the suspense book “Backfire” by Catherine Coulter. Judge Ramsey Hunt begins the murder trial of Clive and Cindy Cahill only to have the aggressive federal prosecutor, Mickey O’Rourke, suddenly turn tentative and distracted. Then O’Rourke goes missing and Judge Hunt gets shot in the back. FBI agents Lacy Sherlock and Dillon Savich race to San Francisco to try and solve the case, but when they discover one answer, more questions arise. This book is also available as an audiobook.

New on the non-fiction shelf are “Equine Health as Seen Through the Eye” by Mercedes Colburn, ND, PhD, “Ghost Dances: Proving Up on the Great Plains” by Josh Garrett-Davis and “Three Simple Steps: a Map in Business and Life” by Trevor Blake.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles: “Meet Caroline” by Kathleen Ernst, “The Quilt Walker” by Sandra Dallas and “Evil under the Sun” by Kristen Mayer. Some new picture books are “The Man in the Ant Hill” by Christopher Yost, “Lucky and Squash” by Jeanne Birdsall and “Red Knit Cap Girl” by Naoko Stoop.
