Thursday, July 19, workaholic Dave Douglas finds his non-stop work schedule catapulted into chaos when he is accidentally infected with a genetic mutation serum in “The Shaggy Dog.” He turns from dad to dog without warning in this comedy for the whole family. One of our newer titles is “Porch Lights” by Dorothea Benton Frank. When her husband is killed in the line of duty, Jackie McMullen and her son, Charlie, return to her childhood home on Sullivan’s Island. There the family matriarch, Annie Britt, has the porch lights on to welcome her daughter and her grandson home to the healing power of family and the sharing of a memorable and illuminating summer.
