As we celebrate the 100th birthday of Niobrara County and Lusk’s 125th we would like to invite you to stop by the library on August 3 from 4-6 p.m. to visit with June Willson Read, author of “Frontier Madam: The Life of Dell Burke, Lady of Lusk.” This book signing will feature “Frontier Madam” as well as the children’s book, “Doorway to Adventure” and Anna Sharon Logan’s memoir, “View from an Apple Tree.” Plan now to drop by before attending the barbeque at the fairgrounds!
When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro in the movie, Rio which will be showing at the library on Thursday, August 4 at 1 p.m. The film is rated G and 94 minutes, bring your own beverage, we’ll provide the popcorn.
