EBooks Now Available to Check Out at the Niobrara County Library

Best-selling and classic titles available anytime, anywhere

The Niobrara County Library has expanded its services to include eBooks, available to download from the library website the first of July. In the new Virtual Library, county residents will find bestselling fiction, mysteries, youth novels and literary favorites as well as popular nonfiction titles.

The eBooks are free to download with a Niobrara County library card and PIN. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, so there are no late fees to worry about!

The Virtual Library is open any time of the day or night beginning on July 1, so patrons can check out and download eBooks at their convenience. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including the Nook, iPad, Sony Reader, Kobo and many others, including many phones. Although the service does not yet work on the Kindle, Amazon has announced that they will be coming on board soon.

“Library patrons have been asking for this digital format for several months and we are excited to have collaborated with the Natrona County Public Library to make this available for our shared patrons,” said Debbie Sturman, Niobrara County Library Director. “We are very excited to offer this technology to Niobrara County and invite everyone to log-in today!”

To get started downloading eBooks, beginning July 1st, visit https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org and click on “Virtual Library.” Contact the library at 334-3490 for more information!

Thank you to the Niobrara County Library Foundation and the Niobrara County Recreation District for providing this new resource for library patrons.
