What if mankind had to leave Earth and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? The year is 2700 and WALL-E is a robot still spending every day doing what he was made for. Soon he is visited by a sleek robot named EVE whom he chases across the galaxy with a pet cockroach and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots. The movie, “WALL-E” will be shown at the library on Wednesday, December 31 at 1 p.m. The film is rated G and is 98 minutes. We’ll provide the popcorn, bring your own drink.

A new fiction book is “Divine Justice” by David Baldacci. John Carr, “alias Oliver Stone,” with two pulls of the trigger, silenced the men who had destroyed his life and kept him in the shadows. Now the U. S. Government has unleashed a massive manhunt and master spy, Macklin Hayes wants Stone dead and is playing a very personal game of cat and mouse. As with most of Baldacci’s books this is sure to please.

A new young adult book is “Love, Hollywood Style” by P. J. Pudits. Several new authors have been added to the Young Adult section, be sure to check it out.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books “The Trouble with Brothers”by P. J. Denton, “Ivy and Bean: Take Care of the Babysitter” by Annie Barrows, “The Scream of the Haunted Mask” by R. L. Stine.
