Have you checked out downloadable eAudiobooks lately? Over 1200 popular titles including best-sellers and classics are available as well as the Pimsleur foreign language learning program, Modern Scholar courses and the Bible. These eAudiobooks “check-out” for three weeks and are renewable and up to 10 titles can be checked out at once. The downloadable books are compatible with any portable device or computer that supports the Windows Media-based service. Currently, the NetLibrary platform is not compatible with iPods and/or Macintosh. New titles are added on a monthly basis. To check this out go to the library’s website: https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org and click on WYLDCAT, then Downloadable Audiobooks. While you’re in the library catalog be sure to look around, you can place holds on items from your home even if our library doesn’t own it? You’ll need your library card number and PIN so if you don’t have that handy be sure to call or stop by.

A new fiction book is “Set Sail for Murder” by Carolyn Hart. When Henrietta O’Dwyer Collins receives a call for help, she discovers that love once kindled never burns to ashes, but can she prevent a murder? Other new fiction includes “The Good Husband of Zebra Drive” by Alexander McCall Smith, “The Blue Zone” by Andrew Gross, “Morning Comes Softly” by Debbie Macomber, “Crisis on the Stinking Water” by Roland Cheek, and “What’s so Funny” by Donald E. Westlake.

New non-fiction titles are “Front Yard Gardens: Growing More Than Grass” by Liz Primeau plus these new quilt books ? “Amazing Simple Star Quilts” which was donated in memory of Edith Culver and “French Braid Quilts,” and “9-Patch Pizzazz.” Did you know that you can check out magazines? The library subscribes to two quilting magazines as well as many others – stop by and check them out.

New titles for our young adults are “Vampire Kisses,” “Kissing Coffins,” and “Vampireville” by Ellen Schreiber.

New books in the Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library include “How to be a Pirate” by Cressida Cowell, “Ghost Hunters and the Totally Moldy Baroness!” by Cornelia Funke and “Rover” by Jackie French. New picture books and easy readers include “Happy Birthday to You, You Belong
in a Zoo”
by Diane deGroat, “Biscuit’s Day at the Farm” by Alyssa Satin Capucilla, and “Mahalia Mouse Goes to College” by John Lithgow.

“Dad!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 and Thursday, June 14, 2007. Storyhour is now held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
