The Niobrara County Library Foundation is hosting an Open House to celebrate the success of the Kresge Challenge on Sunday, January 16. The event will be held at the Niobrara Country Club from 3-6 p.m. Plan now to come out and celebrate with us. Music, cake and hors d’oeuvres will be served. $250,000 was raised during this challenge and $83,333 was added to the NCLF Endowment Fund. The long-term endowment goal of the foundation is 1.5 million by 2015.
Plans are underway for a brown bag lunch program on Thursday, January 27. The program will feature regional historian Mike Jording. Watch for more details.

Our younger readers will enjoy “The Tales of Dog Giovanni” by John Gravdahl and “An Orange for Franklin” by Patricia Polacco.
“Snowmen” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
