Monday, June 3 the film, “Neither Wolf Nor Dog” will be shown at the library at 6 p.m. books of the same title are available to pick up to read prior to the film and discussion. A light meal will be served, plan to attend!

Have you registered your children for summer reading? The “Hey Kids – A Universe of Stories” reading program is goal-driven and continues throughout the summer. Also, each Tuesday “Storyhour” is held at 10 a.m., LegoTime is at 1 p.m. and a new program, “Read with Olivia” is at 2 p.m. Olivia is a German Shepherd who loves to hear stories! If your child would benefit from building reading confidence be sure to some by! On Wednesdays throughout the summer “Crafts & Activities” are held at 1 p.m., except when special events are held. Afternoon movies will be shown each Thursday at 1 p.m.

Call the library at 307-334-3490 to register for “Paint @ the Library” on Wednesday, June 5 at 5 p.m. Space is limited, so call soon. Barb Orr will facilitate a Fourth of July painting.

The puppet show, “The Dragon Who Fell To Earth” will be presented by Markie Scholz, Dragons are Too Seldom Puppet Productions, on Wednesday, June 5 at 1 p.m. Plan to attend!

RaeAnne Thayne’s latest novel is “The Cliff House.” After the death of their mother, Daisy and Beatriz found a home with their aunt in Cape Sanctuary. They never knew all the dreams Stella sacrificed to ensure they had everything they needed. With the girls grown, it was time for Stella to reveal the secret she had been keeping from them – a secret that will change their family forever. “The Cliff House” is also available to download in Overdrive and the 3M Cloud Library.

Other new fiction books are “Sawbones” by William W. Johnstone, “Ashes on the Moor” by Sarah M. Eden, “Check Me Out” by Rebecca Wilhite, “Celtic Empire” by Clive Cussler,
“Deep Harbor” by Fern Michaels, “Mr. Pettigrew” by L.J. Martin, “In At the Death” Francis Duncan, “The Last Second” by Catherine Coulter and “The Fifth Doctrine” by Karen Robards. Among new YA titles are “Mike” by Andrew Norriss and “Pretend She’s Here” by Luanne Rice.

“Inheritance: a Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity, and Love” by Dani Sharpiro is available in the non-fiction section along with “Girl Stop Apologizing: a Shame-Free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals” by Rachel Hollis and Gary Small’s “The Small Guide to Anxiety.”

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “The Stinky Truth” by Joe Berger, “The Impossible Crime” by Mac Barnett and “Sweep, the Story of a Girl and Her Monster” by Jonathan Auxier. Several of the newer easy titles are “Ten Rules of the Birthday Wish” by Beth Ferry, “Because” by Mo Willems and “I Am Just Right” by David McPhail.

“Summer at Last!” is the theme for Storyhour on June 4, 2019. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for children age 3 through kindergarten throughout the year.
