It’s time to register your children for the library’s summer programs. The Summer Reading theme is “Libraries Rock” and will feature several weeks of activities, crafts and fun about music and geology! The program begins on Wednesday, May 30 at 1 p.m. for children that have completed the first through sixth grades - register today by calling or stopping by the library! Register also for the Hey Kids! program. This reading program, which continues throughout the summer, requires children to establish a goal of how many library books they can read each week, the books are returned and tracked each week. Every time the goal is met twice children receive a certificate for either swimming or ice cream. Children that checkout books and meet their goal all summer are then eligible for larger prizes in August. Watch for the upcoming library newsletter in your mailbox for more information about all of the library’s summer events and programs!
