Have you checked out Hoopla Digital lately? Hoopla has everything from the newest in music to the newest in audiobooks along with educational materials such as The Great Courses. Patrons have access to tens of thousands of items: ebooks, audiobooks, music, comics & graphic novels, movies and television shows. This free digital library is available by simply creating an account with your library card and PIN! Download the free Hoopla app for your mobile devices or stream on your computer. Items may be downloaded for later viewing on mobile devices – up to 40 items a month! Hoopla currently supports some generations of these devices for your TV: AppleTV, Android TV, Airplay, Chromecast and Fire TV. Roku is coming soon. Try it out today!


The library will be closed Monday, Christmas Day, December 25, 2017. Regular hours resume on Tuesday the 26th at 10 a.m.


A new holiday novel is “Merry and Bright” by Debbie Macomber. Merry Knight is busy, taking care of her family, baking cookies, decorating for the holiday…. and trying to stay out of the cross-hairs of her boss. The last thing she has on her mind is a man. Without her knowledge, Merry’s mom and brother created an online dating profile for her – minus a picture and the matches are rolling in. Merry decides to give it a whirl. Soon one online exchange becomes the brightest part of her day – but, at the face-to-face meeting Merry finds the last person she expected….


Other new fiction books are “An Irish Country Practice” by Patrick Taylor, “Christmas in Icicle Falls” by Shelia Roberts, “Stripped Bare” by Shannon Baker, “The Christmas Cowboy Hero” by Donna Grant, “Tiger’s Prey” by Wilbur Smith, “Chasing Christmas Eve” by Jill Shalvis, “Successor’s Promise” by Trudi Canavan, “Don’t Let Go” by Harlan Coben, “Christmastime Cowboy” by Maisey Yates, “Wyoming Winter” by Diana Palmer plus “An Amish Christmas Love: four novellas” by Beth Wiseman, Amy Clipston, Ruth Reid and Kelly Irvin. A new title in the young adult section is “The Stars Beneath Our Feet” by David Barclay Moore.


“Code Girls: the Untold Story of American Women Code Breakers Who Helped Win World War II” by Liza Mundy joins “Ageless Soul” by Thomas Moore and “The Complete Slow Cooker: From Appetizers to Desserts – 400 Must-Have Recipes that Cook While You Play (or Work)” by American Test Kitchen Editors in the new non-fiction section.


The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “Spy School – Secret Service” by Stuart Gibbs and “The Exact Location of Home” by Kate Messner. A few of the newer easy titles are “I Love You Like a Pig” by Mac Barnett, “Crystal Heart Kisses” by Tallulah May and “Santa’s Eleven Months Off” by Mike Reiss.


“Christmas!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday December 19, 2017 with a special visitor. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday throughout the year. Call Dial-A-Story anytime by dialing: 334-3274. Dial-A-Story is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.


Library card holders can access online library resources. Your card number, combined with your PIN, gives access to the online catalog, WyldCat and your library account. Patrons can also browse and download free Wyoming-specific legal forms and search all of the GoWyld.net resources, including study aids, practice tests, newspapers and journals as well as the digital libraries.
