Beginning on Thursday, April 6 the library will be holding a Preschool Lego & Stories program on Thursdays from 2-3 p.m. Plan now to bring your children! LegoTime for school aged children is on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. through the end of the school year.

Performer "Wayne and Wingnut" returns to the library for the Friends of the Library RIF program on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. The Colorado ventriloquist brings a crazy show with "life-sized" puppets, original comedy and all the fun stuff you expect in a world class comedy show. Children will be able to select their own books to keep, so plan to attend this fun program for the whole family!

A new novel is "The Runaway Midwife" by Patricia Harman. When midwife Clara Perry's life takes a nose dive, she realizes she hasn't been tending to her own needs. She runs away from West Virginia to tiny, remote Sea Gull Island in Canada where she takes on a new identity – Sara Livingston, a writer seeking solitude. The residents are friendly and draw her into their lives and confidences, but one lesson soon becomes clear – no matter how far you run, you can never truly hide from your past.

Other new fiction books are "The Mother's Promise" by Sally Hepworth, "Humans Bow Down" by James Patterson, "Someone to Hold" by Mary Balogh, "Home on Apple Blossom Road" by Sheila Roberts, "Black Wind Pass" by Rusty Davis, "Into the Firestorm" by Kat Martin, "The Cottage at Firefly Lake" by Jen Gilroy and "The Horse Thieves" by Giles Tippette. New titles for the young adult are "Crystal Storm" by Morgan Rhodes and "Rules of the Game" by James Frey.

"The Acid Watcher Diet: 28-Day Reflex Preventive and Healing Program" by Jonathan Aviv is among new non-fiction along with "Bipolar, Not So Much: Understanding Your Mood Swings and Depression" by Chris Aiken, M.D.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "A Hat for Mrs. Goldman" by Michelle Edwards, "Secret of the Water Dragon" by Tracey West, "Bird and Squirrel On the Run" by James Burks and "Revenge of the Cream Puffs" by Lincoln Peirce. Some of the newer easy titles include "Race Car Dreams" by Sharon Chriscoe, "Charlotte's Very Own Dress" by Trisha Krauss, "Rescue Squad No.9" by Mike Austin and "Panda Pants" by Jacqueline Davis.
