Slowly but surely IRS tax products are arriving at the library. Stop by if you are looking for forms.

The first of three Reading Is Fun programs will be held on Wednesday, February 12 at 6:30 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to the library for this literacy-based program. Call the library for more information at 334-3490.

An Oprah’s book club selection is “The Invention of Wings” by Sue Monk Kidd, the celebrated author of “The Secret Life of Bees.” The novel is inspired in part by the historical figure of Sarah Grimke. On her 11th birthday, Sarah is given ownership of 10-year-old Handful, who is to be her handmaid. This is the story of their remarkable journey over the next 35 years as both strive for lives of their own, dramatically shaping each other’s destinies and forming a complex relationship.

“Boots and Saddles: a Call to Glory” by Paul Colt is among new fiction selections as well as “Brazen” by Kelley Armstrong, “Dark Wolf” by Christine Feehan, “First Love” by James Patterson, “Big Sky Secrets” by Linda Lael Miller, “Taste of Darkness” by Maria V. Snyder, “Butchery of the Mountain Man” by William W. Johnstone and “Perfect” by Rachel Joyce. A new title in the young adult section is “Enders,” the sequel to “Starters” by Lissa Price.

New adult non-fiction books are “Jim Cramer’s Get Rich Carefully” by Jim Cramer, “Pat Goggins: As I Saw It” by Linda Grosskopf, “Ultimate Cross Stitch Projects: Colorful and Inspiring Designs from Maria Diaz” by Maria Diaz and “The Coconut Oil Miracle” by Bruce Fife.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “Mystery of the Fallen Treasure” by Gertrude Chandler Warner and “Isabelle” by Laurence Yep.
