“Being Human” is the next film in the Dinner and Movie series. The film will be shown on Monday, February 25 at 6 p.m. Each character in the film reaches for survival, love, and belonging - for all the things that made humankind draw together in the first place. Each is a human being faced with an unforgettable and universal challenge: Being Human. Deane Tucker, Professor of Humanities at Chadron State College will facilitate the discussion which will include a light meal. The film is rated PG-13 and is 122 minutes.
Sunday, March 10 the Niobrara County Library Foundation will be hosting a No-Limit Texas Hold’em tournament. The entry fee is $35 and the event will begin at 1 p.m. at the Niobrara Country Club. Also on Sunday March 10, Curtis Mork, the Lego Guy will be at the library at 1 p.m. with a fun Lego program for the family. There will even be some hands-on time!
A new novel by Janet Evanovich is “The Husband List.” Caroline Maxwell would like nothing more than to join her brother, Eddie, and his friend, Jack, on their adventures, but she is stuck at home frightening off the list of men her mother hopes will ask for her hand in marriage. Caroline longs for adventure, passion, love, and most of all Jack, an unconventional Irish-American bachelor with new money and no title, which makes him an unacceptable suitor in her mother’s eyes. The audio book is also available on CD.
