Friday, October 26 the film, "Madagascar 3" will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Rated PG, the film is 93 minutes and finds Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple. The library will provide popcorn but attendees need to bring their own drink.
The third film in the “Play to Film” series will feature, “Inherit the Wind” on Monday, October 29 at 6 p.m. Starring Spencer Tracy and Frediric March “Inherit the Wind” is based on a real-life case from 1925 where two great lawyers argue the case for and against a science teacher accused of the crime of teaching evolution. The subject of evolution versus creation causes two polar opposites to engage in one explosive battle of beliefs in this powerful, provocative classic film. A light meal will be a part of the evening and Deane Tucker, PhD will facilitate the discussion which will include participants at WWC.
A new Christian fiction book is “The Reunion” by Dan Walsh. Aaron Miller knows a thing or two about loss. He’s lost love, dignity, second and even third chances. Once honored for his heroism, he now lives in near obscurity, working as a handyman in a humble trailer park; but God is a good master at finding and redeeming the lost things of life – and someone is searching for Aaron.

“A Mutiny in Time” by James Dasher, “Every Day” by David Levithan and “The City’s Son” by Tom Pollock are new YA titles.
New non-fiction includes “Bringing in Finn: an Extraordinary Surrogacy Story” by Sara Connell, “Bowhunting Tactics that Deliver Trophies” by Steve Bartylla, and “The Guide to Compassionate Assertiveness” by Sherrie M. Vavrichek.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior titles: “Lure of the Dead” by Joseph Delany, “Gods and Warriors” by Michelle Paver and “Traitor’s Chase” by Stuart Gibbs. Some new easy books include “The Adventures of Bella and Harry: Let’s Visit London” by Liza Manzione, “Cecil the Pet Glacier” by Matthea Harvey and “Olivia and the Fairy Princesses” by Ian Falconer.
