The 2nd of 3 Friends of the Library Reading is Fundamental (RIF) programs will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. “Moo Who” by Marjorie Palatini will be presented as a Shadow Puppet show and will delight children of all ages. A fun craft and snack will also be a part of the evening and of course, everyone will be able to select their very own book to keep. Children that were unable to attend the first program will be able to select two books to take home with them. The final RIF program will be held on Wednesday, April 9.

A new western book for adults is “Hard Trail to Follow” by Elmer Kelton. Former Texas Ranger, Andy Pickard, drops his plow and straps on his guns again when the local Sheriff, Tom Blessing, is killed during a jail break.

Other fiction books include “Storm Front” by Jim Butcher, “A Daughter’s Inheritance” by Tracie Peterson, “Eternal Love” by Maggie Shayne, “Three Shirt Deal” by Stephen J. Cannell and “Capital Conspiracy” by William Bernhardt.

New adult non-fiction books are “Being in Love: How to Love With Awareness and Relate Without Fear” by Osho, “Grave Secrets of Dinosaurs: Soft Tissues and Hard Science” by Phillip Manning and “Is This a Phase?: Child Development & Parent Strategies, Birth to 6 Years” by Helen F. Neville.

New young adult books are “Dreamhunters” and “Dreamquake” by Elizabeth Knox.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “The BossQueen, Little BigBark, and the Sentinel Pup” by Sarah Clark Jordan, “Griffin’s Castle” by Jenny Nimmo and “The Seattle Puzzle” by Gertrude Chandler Warner.

New easy titles are “Great Joy!” by Kate DiCamillo, “Emma’s Turtle” by Eve Bunting, “Rough, Tough Charlie” by Verla King and “No body Notices Minerva” by Wednesday Kirwan.

“The Wee Folk” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 13. Storyhour is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
