Brother of Lou Bass Killed by Tractor
Word was received by Lou Bass on last Thursday afternoon that his brother, Harvey L. Bass, from near Chadron, Neb., had been killed when the tractor he was driving upset, pinning him underneath. His wife had driven into Chadron about 11:00 a.m. and returned about 2:00 o'clock, and discovered the tragedy , as the tractor had upset about 300 yards from the house.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Bass left for their brother's home immediately upon receiving word of the accident.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church in Chadron on Easter Sunday and were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Lou Bass of Lusk, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bass and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Holmes of the Jay Em community, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McMaster of Van Tassell.
Survivors include his wife, and a daughter Genevieve, and a son , Dick.
