Funeral for Mrs. Leach Held Friday
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Everett (Ruth) Leach of Sheridan Friday afternoon from the Bustard Funeral Home in Casper with Reverend Delbert Paulsen of the First Methodist Church officiating.
"Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden" were sung during the services. Burial was made in Highland Cemetery with Donald Johnson, Lyle Johnson, Lawrence Slaymaker, Jr., Orely Johnson, Wayne Johnson and Dale Morgan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Sidney Wallingford, Robert Johnson, Floyd Lancster, Ernest Yadon, Glen Miller and Lloyd Miller. All were nephews of Mrs. Leach.
Mrs. Leach died in the Natrona County Hospital December 23 following an illness of six weeks.
Ruth Elizabeth Johnson was born August 13, 1893 at Stuart, Nebr., the seventh child of Richmond Robinson and Varinna Radcliff Johnson. She and Everet Daniel Leach were married December 9, 1916 at O'Neill, Nebr. They were the parents of two children, Selma Ellen and Lloyd Daniel. The family moved to Wyoming in 1926. Mrs. Leach died in 1961.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Wesley Foster of Sheridan, and Lloyd Leach of Casper; two brothers, Reuben Johnson of Lance Creek and Lewis Johnson of Atkinson; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Brewer of Lusk, Mrs. Serina Slaymaker of Atkinson and Mrs. Mattie Eaton of Casper; and three grandchildren.
Her parents and six brothers died previously.
